Taking the concept and idea from the song ‘Light My Love’ by Greta Van Fleet, the experimental design is meant to represent the song both directly and indirectly. The design doubles as a packaging for the song's vinyl and lyric book.
Concept
The experimental design combines multiple interactivities into one from the optical illusion on the cover to the lights that can be played for the shadowbox, with a consistent theme of layers and depth that can be seen in the shadow- box, lyric book, and vinyl sleeves.
More
Visually, this experimental design needed to express the song in another media. This was done in the visuals that can be seen in the lyric book and the main depiction of the intertwined tree in the shadow box.
Process
Though I had thought I’d have more time with this project I am pretty happy with how the final products turned out, especially since most of the elements that were put into it were out of my comfort zone.
